  • We are the only 5* Gold B&B in Surrey. All our properties are historic. The B&B breakfasts include 5 different homemade breads, granola, compote, jams made from our own fruit and locally sourced pork for our own chipolatas and eggs delivered by the farmer.

Meet the owner - Mindi McLean

I was a newspaper, magazine and TV correspondent in the US and UK and then had my own Top 100 marketing and PR company in London. I have always loved cooking and entertaining and meeting new people. This job combines all of my loves.

The best thing about running Broadway Barn is meeting people from all over the world - Australia to Africa to Asia to Europe to North and South America - and of course even guests from Ripley which I do get! Making people feel special, more relaxed and happier about life.

I probably wouldn’t have created this business in any other location. Ripley provides everything my guests and I need. Even though it is not a tourist destination at the moment once people have been to the village for a meal, for a wedding dress, to stay with me to visit a hairdresser etc they always want to come back.

Usually never closed however B&B is closed at the moment for Covid and will be until August/September depending on safe functioning. Self catering is open.

Covid-19 Response

Specific cleaning regimes have been implemented, and the B&B will not be opening until August earliest, maybe September. It is too difficult to control where guests come from and to keep myself safe as they are in my home. The self catering is open now however.
