Pinnock's Coffee House
Pinnock’s was established as a community centric business, where villagers and their friends could meet in a relaxed and informal environment. Our coffee is made using the drip method, which was inspired by Russell living in San Fransisco for a year and drip coffee is a widely used method for producing a smooth, well rounded cup of coffee. All our coffee is roasted locally and customers can choose blends and single estate coffee beans In various strengths to make the perfect cup. We have 8 different types of beans to choose from. If coffee is not your thing we have 16 loose leaf teas to choose from, hand blended by local tea artisans Bergamia in Dorking. Our food and cakes are all homemade on the premises daily by our team of chefs. We use the finest local suppliers and all of our meat comes from Graham Turner Butcher in Pryford.
Our emphasis is on freshly made quality home cooked food and cakes for our customers to enjoy. From a community perspective we host a weekly evening book club, a knit and stitch group and various Other community events.
We are truly independent in every sense of the word. We shop local for all of our suppliers. Homemade food and cakes, locally roasted coffee, artisanal hand blended loose leaf teas from Dorking all served by our friendly team at affordable prices.
Just one year after opening, Pinnock's was awarded the Surrey Life food and drink awards Coffee shop of the year 2013, and again in 2014.
Meet the owners - Russell and Andy James
Russell had a life long dream to open a coffee house after spending a year living in San Fransisco where the coffee culture is thriving and an integral part of life there. He dived in and gave up his life as a British sign Language interpreter to follow his dream. Andy was a home cook and had been cooking and baking for years, so we made an ideal team.
The best thing about running Pinnock's is the creativity. From tasting and creating new coffee blends with our roastery or baking new cakes for our customers to enjoy. New menu development to the buzz of customer service and making someone smile!

Covid-19 Response
Whilst we where closed, we wanted to support our community. We made free soup for the elderly and those at risk or working on the front line. We gave out over 350 slices of our homemade cake to frontline workers and NHS staff to raise their spirits and make them smile.
