Launched by seasoned Head Distiller Simon Sherlock, Distillers Of Surrey is an artisan small batch, award winning distillery where craftsmanship is at the heart of the process with unparalleled quality and a passion for producing spirits with distinction.
We launched at Ripley's very own Grape & Grain festival in 2018 with our Solstice and Nautical edition gins. Soon thereafter we introduced the Aromatic edition to the line up which was received with great enthusiasm and which won Gold at The World Gin Awards in 2019 in the London Dry category.
Distillers Of Surrey is a truly small, family run business with husband and wife team, Lianne and Simon Sherlock, ensuring a high level of quality at all stages of production. From distilling, to hand filling, bottling, labeling and marketing at local events - you will find Simon and Lianne at every stage. Distillers Of Surrey's Sherlock & Sons range is in homage to Lianne and Simon's three little boys, Hamish, Charlie and Monty.
We were thrilled to find that we had won Gold at The World Gin awards in 2019 for our Aromatic edition in the London Dry Category and we were also thrilled to win Gold for our overall Branding at that same awards. We were also finalists in the 2018 Surrey Life Awards for Best Newcomer at just 8 weeks old!
Meet the owners - Simon and Lianne Sherlock
Simon was previous at Silent Pool Distillers for some years, leaving at the end of 2017 as their Head Distillers. Simon had always had the dream of opening his own distillery and we then launched Distillers Of Surrey in June 2018.
The best thing about running Distillers Of Surrey is that we get to be completely in control of all the elements of our products, from sourcing local ingredients, to sourcing a UK label company, to ensuring that our packaging is made with sustainable materials. Being able to really ensure that this business is true to our core values is absolutely worth its weight in gold.
